Methodology

Our Approach/Methodology

Phase 1: Assess - Solution Analysis and Design

The Assessment phase’s primary focus is to prepare for the project by defining scope, confirming business alignment, and creating plans to organize the project team to meet the stated objectives of the project. The assessment phase provides a solid foundation upon which the rest of the project can be built. The key deliverables for this phase are the project plan, resource skills assessment, status and communications plan, and setup of the project controls (budget, risk management, issue management, and change management).

Phase 2: Prototype - Solution Refinement

The Prototype phase involves our team working with your business and system analyst(s) to define the requirements for the system, the system’s function list, and the technical architecture. Silverline Consult's project team members will create functional and technical specifications based on these requirements. A gate review will occur at the end of this phase to approve the functional and technical architecture. The final deliverable for this phase will include defined project milestones for solution delivery.

Phase 3: Implement - Solution Configuration and Testing

The Implement phase involves the actual construction and testing of the system. Using the project milestones defined within the Prototype phase, the project will be delivered in iterations allowing the business to validate the user interface, system functionality, integration, or other components as early as possible in the project lifecycle. This iterative and interactive approach requires close collaboration with your team to ensure the project delivers a solution that meets the business requirements. Identified stakeholders will approve the solution and the proposed production deployment plan enabling the team to begin the implementation phase.

Phase 4: Go-Live - Solution Rollout

The project moves into the Go-Live phase once the solution has been approved. The system is installed in the production environment. Training occurs for the system’s end users; and is normally completed with client resources. Additional training may occur for the lead system user(s) or administrator(s).

Phase 5: Maintain - Solution Support and Goal Recognition

Once the system has been successfully deployed into production and the stabilization period is complete, the project moves to the Maintain phase. Maintain is the transition from project team support to the appropriate support organization and processes. We offer customised extended maintenance and support solutions to help ensure that your application is up-and-running reliably, on a day-to-day basis.

We can provide a comprehensive range: from basic assistance for your support staff, to 24*7 application and infrastructure support. The appropriate support package and should be identified and arranged during, or shortly after, the Prototype phase, when more about the users and the application availability requirements are known.
